When I was a journalism student at Carleton University, my great ambition was work at the Hill Times after graduating. That didn’t happen. Instead, I started up my own political insider publication in British Columbia. But I’m excited my work is now being covered by the capital city newsweekly.
Deputy editor Bea Vongdouangchanh included an article about Whipped: the secret world of party discipline in her Heard on the Hill column. The article features a discussion about the impact of that discipline, as well why I choose to use a visual medium to report on this subject - despite having done most of my work online, in print or on the radio.
