As British Columbia goes, so goes the nation

“I think it’s a fantastic documentary. It’s specific to the British Columbia legislature. But the lessons and the anecdotes are applicable to Ottawa as well.”

That’s Edmonton-St. Albert MP Brent Rathgeber‘s take on Whipped: the secret world of party discipline.

Rathgeber, who recently quit the Conservative caucus to sit as an independent, offered that opinion last Friday on CBC Radio’s flagship current affairs show The Current.

The show looked at his experiences with party discipline, as well as profiling my documentary - which will be broadcast on CPAC.

It was a conversation I was honoured to be part of, speaking with host Rick MacInnes-Rae about the challenge of making Whipped and what party discipline means for this country.
